MCORD membership is an eligibility requirement for the 2027 Dr. OAT COLS Scholarship. Prospective applicants who are not yet members should join MCORD and begin participating in its meetings and programmes before completing the scholarship application.

The Dr. OAT Legacy Scholarship Board is the governing institution responsible for establishing and administering scholarship awards that expand educational opportunity, develop principled leaders and strengthen communities.
The Dr. OAT Community Loyalty Scholarship (COLS) is one award within the Board's growing scholarship portfolio. Its 2027 cycle supports students of Moro origin through financial assistance, mentorship, structured leadership development, verified volunteer service and an annual community impact project.

2027 eligibility
Know the standard before you begin.
Applicants should review every requirement and prepare verifiable evidence.
- CommunityBe a recognized indigene of Moro Community and demonstrate commitment to its advancement.
- Study levelBe enrolled as a second-year student at a recognized Nigerian university, polytechnic or college of education.
- First-year completionHave completed the full first year of study, including all second-semester examinations, and have received the official first-year examination results no later than the application closing date of February 27, 2027.
- CourseStudy one of the approved disciplines listed for the 2027 cycle.
- CharacterDemonstrate integrity and good character, with no fraudulent or criminal conduct.
- Community identificationProvide appropriate and verifiable evidence of Moro Community origin.
- MCORD membershipBe a registered member of MCORD and maintain active participation in the organization.
- Attendance standardDemonstrate documented attendance and participation in at least 80% of MCORD's bi-weekly meetings and official programmes during the applicable annual assessment period.

Can students from any Nigerian tertiary institution apply?
Yes—eligible second-year students of Moro origin may apply from recognized universities, polytechnics and colleges of education. Applicants must have completed their first-year second-semester examinations and received their official first-year results by February 27, 2027.
Is the scholarship automatically renewed?
No. It may be renewed for one year based on academic performance, service, leadership participation, annual project performance, continued eligibility and available funding.
What documents should I prepare?
Prepare admission and enrollment evidence, academic/result records available for your level, Moro identification, recommendations, a personal statement, service evidence and the required community-project proposal.
How will I know the official dates?
Approved dates will be posted on this website. Do not rely on unofficial messages or requests for payment.
